Originally from Montana, Tippy began her career as a dancer by training in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, pointe, hip hop, and gymnastics at a very young age. She earned her BA in Dance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA where she trained under Rosalynde Loo and the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, John Todd, Kate Hutter, and Taryn Vander Hoop. She performed in pieces choreographed by Sidra Bell, Rennie Harris, Whyteberg and James Gregg. At LMU Tippy honed her craft as a choreographer and created many pieces for their collegiate dance performances. Tippy choreographs and teaches at competition and performing studios in Montana and in Los Angeles. Currently, she is an active member of Summation Dance, as well as a freelance dancer in Los Angeles represented by Go 2 Talent Agency. Tippy worked with Gwen Stefani on a Revlon hair commercial, virtually with Kenny Ortega for the 2021 Presidential Inauguration, and in the award winning film, The Accompanist.
Tippy also has a passion for health and wellness and is a certified yoga instructor. At LMU she earned a second degree in Health and Human Sciences. She uses her knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology and strength training to enhance her dance teaching and training.
