Sarah has been dancing in NYC for ten years and recently founded the company Sarah Holmes Danceworks. She has shown her work at The 92nd St Y, Danspace, Merce Cunning- ham Studios, Dance New Amsterdam, Galapagos Art Space, and Triskelion Arts. She also has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Gus Solomons Jr, Doug Varone, Gerald Casel, Hattie Mae Williams, and Nina Buisson. Sarah believes that dance not only brings joy and pleasure to the world, but is also a means of empowerment, social change. She strives to incorporate a spirit of collaboration and community in her work. Sarah completed her MFA in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2010. Since graduating, she has choreographed a music video for Kelli Scarr’s hit song, Driftwood and recently produced an evening length collaborative work, One Brave Thing.
