The Fruits of Your Labour (2023)

About

The Fruits of Your Labour examines ideas of home as not just a sense of place but the body itself. Our thoughts shape the way we inhabit our bodies - our first and constant home - carrying us through life. We move from space to space recreating patterns and moments of familiarity to find comfort amidst the ever shifting unknown. The work asks to confront how we care for our mental health, ourselves and each other in a late-stage capitalistic society. The Fruits of Your Labour is set to an original sound score by Malcolm Tulip, original composition by squash & biscuit, and recorded music by Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld, with costume design by LA-based designer, Leon Wiebers. Dancers include: Tippy Dringman, Annalise Gehling, Rosalynde LeBlanc, and Taryn Vander Hoop.
